Beyond production, Karibu Parkparkers is deeply invested in building human capacity. The initiative provides hands-on training programs that equip participants—particularly youth and women—with practical skills in tailoring, knitting, and design.
These trainings go beyond technical instruction. Participants also receive business and entrepreneurship training, enabling them to:
- Manage finances and keep records
- Develop business plans
- Price products competitively
- Engage effectively with customers
The impact is transformative. Many participants who previously lacked stable income are now able to generate earnings through their skills. Others have gone on to start small enterprises, creating a ripple effect of economic empowerment within the community.
The program also fosters peer learning and mentorship, ensuring knowledge is shared and sustained across generations of participants.
