Aboutus
Karibu Parkparkers is a community-driven initiative based in Fort Portal, Uganda, dedicated to transforming waste materials into valuable, eco-friendly products while empowering vulnerable women. The project engages 20 widows and 10 single mothers, providing them with sustainable income opportunities through creativity, recycling, and craftsmanship. By converting discarded textiles and paper into high-quality handmade products such as handbags, jewelry, table mats, and decorative items, the initiative addresses both environmental conservation and economic empowerment. The project is founded and led by Dr. Nestor Basemera, whose vision is to create a self-sustaining model that uplifts communities while promoting environmental responsibility.
